Ler os livros dos Acaryas

SB 3.4.28
"It is necessary, therefore, for the serious students of Srimad-Bhagavatam to follow the notes and comments of the great acaryas like Jiva Gosvami and Visvanatha Cakravarti. To others, who are not devotees of the Lord, the comments and explanations of such acaryas may appear to be grammatical jugglery, but to the students who are in the line of disciplic succession, the explanations of the great acaryas are quite fit."

SB 3.7.39
"Srila Rupa Gosvami and his assistants, under the instructions of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, have all written various literatures for the guidance of prospective devotees, and anyone who is very serious about raising himself to the standard of a pure devotee of the Lord must take advantage of those literatures."

SB 10.33.39
Translation

"Anyone who faithfully hears or describes the Lord’s playful affairs with the young gopis of Vandavana will attain the Lord’s pure devotional service. Thus he will quickly become sober and conquer lust, the disease of the heart."

Purport

" The extraordinary power of Lord Krsna's conjugal pastimes is clearly revealed here. Qualitatively, the Lord’s spiritual, loving pastimes are the diametric opposite of material, lusty affairs, so much so that simply by hearing about the Lord’s pastimes a devotee conquers sex desire. By reading pornographic literature or hearing about material romance, we certainly do not conquer sex desire but rather increase our lust. But hearing or reading about the Lord’s conjugal affairs has exactly the opposite effect because they are of the opposite nature, being purely spiritual. Therefore it is by the causeless mercy of Lord Krsna that He exhibits His rasa-lila within this world. If we become attached to this narration, we will experience the bliss of spiritual love and thus reject the perverted reflection of that love, which is called lust. As nicely put by Lord Krsna in the Bhagavad-gita (2.59), param dristva nivartate: “Once having directly experienced the Supreme, one will not return to material pleasures.”

SB 11.15.26
"There are many books giving proper guidance for achieving Lord Krsna, and the following are mentioned: Srila Jiva Gosvami’s Sankulpa-kalpavriksa, Srila Krsnadasa Kaviraja’s Sri Govinda-lilamrita, Srila Vishvanatha Cakravarti’s Sri Krsna-bhavanamrita and Sankalpa-kalpadruma, and Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura's Sri Gauranga-smarana-mangala."

CC Adi-lila 5.203
"Sri Sanatana Gosvami Prabhu, the teacher of the science of devotional service, wrote several books, of which the Brihad-bhagavatamita is very famous; anyone who wants to know about the subject matter of devotees, devotional service and Krsna must read this book. Sanatana Gosvami also wrote a special commentary on the Tenth Canto of Srimad-Bhagavatam known as the Dasama-tippani, which is so excellent that by reading it one can understand very deeply the pastimes of Krsna in His exchanges of loving activities."

"Srila Rupa Gosvami is described as the bhakti-rasacarya, or one who knows the essence of devotional service. His famous book Bhakti-rasamita-sindhu is the science of devotional service, and by reading this book one can understand the meaning of devotional service. Another of his famous books is the Ujjvala-nilamani. In this book he elaborately explains the loving affairs and transcendental activities of Lord Krsna and Radharani."

CC Adil-lila 8.31
"Actually going to Vrindavana involves taking shelter of the six Gosvamis by reading the Bhakti-rasamrita-sindhu, Vidagdha-madhava, Lalita-madhava and the other books that they have given. In this way one can understand the transcendental loving affairs between Radha and Krsna."

Krsna Book ch 46
"Since Krsna had departed from Vrindavana and gone to Mathura, the inhabitants of Vrindavana, especially mother Yasoda, Nanda Maharaja, Srimati Radharani, the gopis and the cowherd boys, were simply thinking of Krsna at every step. They were thinking, “Here Krsna was playing in this way. Here Krsna was blowing His flute. Krsna was joking with us in this way, and Krsna was embracing us like this.” This is called lila-smarana, and it is the process of association with Krsna most recommended by great devotees; even Lord Caitanya, when He was at Puri, enjoyed lila-smarana association with Krsna. Those in the most exalted position of devotional service and ecstasy can live with Krsna always by remembering His pastimes. Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti thakura has given us a transcendental literary work entitled Krsna-bhavanamrita, which is full with Krsna’s pastimes. Exalted devotees can remain absorbed in Krsna-thought by reading such books. Any book of Krsna-lila, even this book, Krsna, or our Teachings of Lord Caitanya, is actually solace for devotees feeling separation from Krsna."
